Financial Statement Fraud
In order to mislead creditors, investors, or other stakeholders about a company’s financial performance, financial records may be manipulated or falsified. In order to make the business appear more prosperous or steady than it actually is, perpetrators may exaggerate sales, understate expenses, or falsify accounting entries.
Asset Misappropriation
When workers or insiders take use of a company’s assets for their own benefit, this is known as asset misappropriation. This can involve cash or merchandise theft, embezzlement, making false claims for reimbursement of expenses, or using business credit cards without authorization.
Corruption and Bribery
Corruption and bribery involve offering, soliciting, or accepting bribes or kickbacks to gain an unfair advantage in business transactions. This can include bribing public officials for government contracts, paying kickbacks to suppliers or vendors in exchange for preferential treatment, or accepting bribes to facilitate fraudulent transactions.
Corporate Espionage
The illegal taking of trade secrets or private information from a rival in order to gain a competitive edge is known as corporate espionage. Spying, hacking, or insider theft of private information such as product designs, customer lists, or intellectual property are examples of this.
Consumer Fraud and False Advertising
These two crimes entail fraudulent or misleading tactics used to market goods and services to consumers. This might involve making inaccurate or overstated claims about the characteristics, capabilities, or advantages of a product; it can also involve dishonest pricing strategies or omitting to provide customers with crucial information.
Unauthorized Business
There are so many scammers who are after the money of others. They used to ask the person to invest in their business which really not existed or the business is doing illegal activity
